She holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Basic Surgical Skills (BSS).

Dr. Vassiliou graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and holds the degrees MB, BCh, BAO, LRCSI, LRCPI (NUI). She also holds an MSc in Hospital Management and Healthcare Leadership from the RCSI Institute of Leadership, a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare and Biomedical Education from St George's, University of London, and the MRCGP (International) qualification from the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK).
She is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Nicosia Medical School, with over a decade of experience in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, curriculum development, clinical skills training, and medical assessment.
